Soy sauce warning |

This morning there were reports in the National Press regarding potentially cancer causing chemicals being found in some soy sauce products. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) have issued a warning to consumers to avoid certain batches of the following brands
because they may contain chemicals 3-MCPD and 1,3-DCP which have the potential to cause cancer. We would like to reassure our customers that the FSA have visited our 5 superstores and as far as we are aware have confirmed that all the soy sauce products which we stock are safe for consumption. If you have recently purchased soy sauce from Hoo Hing there is no need to dispose or return the product. However, if you are in any doubt of the soy sauce product you have please feel free to contact us. We are probably the only Chinese Supermarket in London who did not stock offending products or had products removed by the FSA. This clearly demonstrates how Hoo Hing only supply genuine oriental food products and always ensure that the quality of the products are of the highest standard.
