About Us Hoo Hing have been supplying oriental food products to the wholesale, catering and retail sectors of the UK for over 30 years. We always aim to embrace new technology and provide exemplary service to our customers. To this end we are proud to be the first UK Chinese wholesaler to accept orders over the Internet.


Making A Purchase To make an online purchase, just browse our catalogue, and click on the "Add to Basket" button next to the items you wish to buy. After you have finished your selection, click on "Check Out" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept credit card payment by Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Switch and Solo. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. You may also pay by cheque although goods cannot be dispatched until our bank has cleared your cheque.

All products are sold subject to availability and we reserve the right to change prices, specifications and packaging without notice. We also reserve the right to cancel orders at any time.


Shipping And Handling All prices featured include packaging but not delivery. All deliveries will be made by Uk Mail and an Internet tracking number will be sent to you via email once your order has been dispatched. All deliveries will be delivered by the next working day where possible. In the interests of fairness, the delivery cost will be the same as that charged by our carrier and is based on the total weight of your purchases and the delivery service you choose. Delivery Schedule Orders made before 12:00pm GMT on any working day will be despatched the same day. Any orders made after 12:00pm GMT will be despatched the next working day. Once your order has been dispatched we will email you confirmation and an Internet tracking number where applicable. If you are not in when the parcel is delivered to your address, the parcel will be left at the nearest parcel carriers depot and a calling card left at your address detailing how you can collect your parcel. If you do not collect your parcel or contact the parcel carrier, the parcel will be returned to us and we will refund you the cost of the goods minus the charges incurred by us to deliver and return your order.

Please note that we only ship to UK addresses and cannot accept overseas orders at present.


Back Orders In the unlikely event that the items you order online are unavailable, we will either exchange those items for similar products at no extra charge or reduce your order total accordingly. This will ensure that you will receive a prompt service.


Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20.0% VAT is added at the check out for certain products to adhere to UK tax law.weather or strikes.


Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using bank-approved 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any website. The software we use is Actinic Catalog which is approved by leading shopping portals.

Hoo Hing have been accepting credit cards in all its superstores for many years and have a good relationship with its acquiring bank. We take fraudulent use of credit cards very seriously and measures are in place to tackle this problem. Delivery of goods can only be made to the address of the card holder and address verification will be made. The purchasers telephone and email contact information must be provided during the ordering process as confirmation may be required on certain orders. Hoo Hing Limited will prosecute anyone attempting to misuse a credit card number.


Guarantee We are proud of our high levels of customer service in our superstores, delivery service and online. We have gone to great lengths to provide great value for money and are confident that our pricing is extremely competitive. However, should you find our products being sold genuinely cheaper elsewhere on the Internet, please contact us and we will review our pricing accordingly.

In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the goods describing your dissatisfaction and then return the goods to us within 14 days in an unused state. We will be pleased to reimburse you or exchange the product. You may return your products in person to any Hoo Hing superstore (by prior arrangement) or via post to our Head Office. A receipt must be accompanied with the goods for any refund to be made and it is the customers responsibility to ensure goods are returned suitably packaged, using a method whereby proof of delivery can be obtained if necessary. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Privacy Policy Hoo Hing are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). Hoo Hing respects your privacy and does not provide customer details to third parties.
It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 years to purchase alcoholic beverages in the UK. We require that all customers agree to supply proof of age on request when purchasing alcoholic products.


Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
